Brief History
Ngila Coffee Estate was established in the early 20th century by a German settler—an adventurous endeavor that proved to be a lasting success. Nestled at 1,600 meters above sea level, on the edge of the cloud forest in Tanzania’s northern highlands and near the renowned Ngorongoro Crater, the estate benefits from mineral-rich volcanic soil, ideal for cultivating exceptional coffee.

In 1992, the estate was acquired by the German Meyer family, who brought with them a vision for innovation and sustainability. They introduced modern drip irrigation systems and water-efficient coffee processing technology, enhancing both quality and environmental responsibility.

Today, with a team of experienced and dedicated staff, Ngila Coffee Estate continues to produce premium highland coffee that satisfies the demands of quality-conscious roasters and coffee lovers around the world.
